A few weeks ago I met up with Amy, Bill and their new precious daughter, Julie at the Memphis Botanic Gardens for their Celebrate Adoption session. We had to fight staggering heat and humidity, but Julie was absolutely adorable and such a trooper. I love doing these sessions and for those of you who are interested, I donate up to one session per month to a family who has adopted within the past 12 months. There used to be a formal organization for photographers to volunteer through. But the founder of that organization became overwhelmed with requests and is no longer doing it. As an adoptive mom, I want to do this for others. I love celebrating these new families and capture the bonds that are made. You will see exactly what I mean in Julie’s images with her mommy & daddy. They are obviously in love!
